UB Students for Life First Annual Banquet

We did this in Mid October 2011.The students on campus who went to the banquet were very happy with the results.

We raised 2,500 dollars from mainly adult, community prolife supporters while bringing in students who were not from the area to see how prolife Western New York is.

  The students who did not attend the banquet were glad that we had a turnout. It was uplifting to hear such things come from such prochoice people on the campus. To hear that people were happy with our efforts and our results was certainly uplifting and while it did not get huge attention in the university, we got huge buzz throughout the community. The number one positive that the club was able to receive was during the speeches of the present President Christian AndZel, the then president Sara Buttitta, and Kristan Hawkins; you could feel the passion from the community members.

 From there Christian created a community based email where there are presently forty committed financial and emotional supports for our club. Having that support is insurmountable to the task ahead. The optimism we got from the banquet will continue to set the stage for our agenda.
