Memorial Day Parade

UB Student's for Life commemorate the lives lost at the Memorial Day Parade in Clarence on Monday May 27th.

WNY United for Life

WNY United for Life hosted an event Tuesday, May 28, at Eastern Hills Church.

There were multiple stations filled with people writing personal letters to politicians to stop Governor Cuomo's bill to expand abortion in New York State. This bill would allow for abortion on demand for women nine months through pregnancy, and allow non-physicians to perform abortions.

A large banner was made for people to sign and put their hand prints on. Each hand print crossed with another, and each was either blue or pink, imitating the WNY United for Life logo:

The Gift Of Life Movie and Rebecca Kiessling's Talk at UB

Having watched the Gift Of Life movie by Governor Mike Huckabee at the SFLA Conference, we decided to play the movie at the University and educate students and the public about the importance of life. Our club also succeeded in bringing Rebecca Kiessling (http://www.rebeccakiessling.com/about_rebecca.html) for a talk at the campus. In fact, she herself had expressed the desire to talk at UB!

These two events were organized together on February 16th at Fillmore 170 on North Campus. It was a splendid experience for everyone who turned up and the stories in the movie were amazing. It was a good chance for the Club to show its genuine dedication to the cause and the attempt paid off. This event was a success both in terms of the turnout and the smooth organization. Rebecca Kiessling as usual, moved the audience with her story and passion for the cause of protecting life.Watch the movie Gift Of Life at http://www.thegiftoflifemovie.com/default.aspx

The same day that she rendered her talk at UB, Rebecca Kiessling's birth-mother passed away. We express our deep condolences and share her pain at her loss...
